Fire Incident at bti Premier Plaza

We are deeply saddened by the fire accident that took place on 29th June 2016 at 2:30am in bti Premier Plaza, which comprised of bti retail section- Home n décor and Orchid. Our cherished Store is no more but we stand proud of being the first to introduce a world class shopping experience in Bangladesh. This announcement is to share our pain with the members of our company and all our patrons who gave us so much encouragement ever since this store was launched 2 years ago.

We cannot control everything that happens but we can take control.

The cause of the fire accident is unknown at this time and we will provide further details as they come to light.

The entire establishment is completely gutted due to the fire. However, by the grace of the Almighty, no lives were lost which would have been an irrecoverable loss.

At bti, we maintain the highest quality of construction, abiding all rules and regulations of BNBC and other regulatory bodies because we understand and value not just our brand name but the lives of many to whom we are committed to provide highest security when they buy an apartment from us. Bti premier plaza is no exception and has been constructed following all the guidelines and rules. It is also due to the provision of fire exits and fire protection system that no harm has fallen on the 117 families residing in bti Premier Plaza.

From the initial inspection of the incident, no structural damage has been observed in the building, only cracks have appeared on “non-load bearing” brick walls.

We are doing everything in our power to restore the utility services for the apartment dwellers in bti Premiere Plaza and also have the structure inspected by concerned authorities to ensure its safety. We have also employed an entire team at the fire incident scene since last night, who are constantly in touch with the apartment residents to stand by them in this hour of need.  A huge number of fire fighters and local people also provided valuable support to ensure the safety of all.

Although the devastation of our retail store has caused us immense emotional and financial damage, we are confident that Insha-Allah we will overcome this challenge and be back on our feet within a very short time.

We solicit the prayers and support of all our patrons.
