Sims was a local kid who came to Syracuse University from Henninger High School. For four years, including a redshirt year, he barely nfl jerseys But as a fifth year senior Sims led Syracuse to the 1996 NCAA championship game.

Sims got his chance when Michael Lloyd abruptly left school due to questions about his academic record in junior college. Sims was thrust into the starting point guard job.

Sims dished out 281 assists in the 1995 96 season. Only Sherman Douglas and Michael Carter Williams have ever had more in a season.

Roe, who played at Fayetteville Manlius High School, had critics who didn’t think the local kid could hack it at Syracuse. But he turned out to be the best 3 point shooter in school history.

In the 1988 89 season, Roe made 83 out of 175 shots from 3 point range. His .474 percentage remains the school record. His career 3 point percentage of .433 is the highest for any player who played more than one year with the 3 point shot in effect. In fact, no other SU player who played more than one year has a career 3 point percentage higher than 40 percent.
